Gleneagles Colt Draws Clear In Juvenile Maiden

Green Triangle (2c Gleneagles – Whimsical Dream, by Oasis Dream) built on two promising performances to run out an impressive winner at Roscommon on Tuesday.

The Joseph O’Brien-trained juvenile finished second on debut and took third next time out behind the smart Orchidaceae (Churchill) at Leopardstown. Sent off favourite for the seven furlong maiden and raced in touch in the early stages under Dylan Browne McMonagle. Pushed along from two furlongs out, he was ridden to lead before the final furlong and drew clear to score by four and a quarter lengths. Newcomer J’Adore Chris (Churchill) finished second, with another five and a half lengths back to the remainder.

Owned by Simon Munir and Isaac Souede, Green Triangle was bred by Mark Hanly and Sally Ann Grassick.
