Gleneagles Colt Proves Progressive With Maiden Win

Kettle Hill (3c Gleneagles - Sentaril, by Danehill Dancer) made significant improvement on his second start to win the mile maiden at Windsor on Monday.

The William Haggas-trained colt tracked the leaders under Tom Marquand, improving into second approaching the two furlong marker and kept on well to lead inside the final furlong. Ridden out, the bay won by half a length, with the front pair drawing six and a half lengths clear of the field.

Owned and bred by Roy and Gretchen Jackson’s Lael Stables, Kettle Hill is out of Sentaril (Danehill Dancer), a Listed winner for the same connections. The colt continues a promising start at stud by the top-class racehorse Gleneagles, whose daughter Tabera won the Listed Diana Trial earlier in the month.
