Gleneagles Filly On The Upgrade After Maiden Success
The future looks bright for Bound For Heaven (2f Gleneagles - Sugar Mill, by Oasis Dream) who showed significant improvement to win her second start at Catterick on Saturday.
The Karl Burke-trained filly was one of 11 to line up for the Fillies’ Novice Stakes over seven furlongs and led for the first three furlongs. She remained close to the pace after being headed, waiting until the final furlong to regain the advantage and was pushed out to score by three parts of a length.
Bred by CJ Murfitt, Bound For Heaven was bought by owner John Dance and Creighton Schwartz Bloodstock as a yearling for £140,000. She is the first foal out of the dam, a half-sister to two black-type horses, from the family of First Defence.
