Gleneagles Filly Strides Clear On Debut
The Miltcho Mintchev-trained Tabera (2f Gleneagles - Temida, by Oratorio) justified some notable entries when making a winning debut in the seven furlong maiden at Dusseldorf on Sunday.
She broke well from a wide draw and soon led, racing home strongly in the straight to score by four lengths and three quarters with minimum fuss. A step up in class may now be on the agenda for the Litex Commerce homebred, judging by her entries in the Group 3 Preis der Winterkonigen and Group 1 Preis der Diana.
Tabera becomes the first winner out of her dam, Group 1 winner Temida, and continues an excellent run by Gleneagles’ first juveniles. Royal Dornoch provided the freshman sire with his second Group 2 winner on Saturday, when setting a new juvenile course record in the Royal Lodge Stakes.
