Maiden Winner Continues Fine Run For Gleneagles

Teed Up (3g Gleneagles - Dibiya, by Caerleon) followed up on two promising performances to justify favoritism in Tuesday’s J.F. Hanley Maiden at Roscommon.

Second on his two previous starts, the Ken Condon-trained bay tracked the leaders for much of the seven and a half furlong contest and produced a strong challenge approaching the final furlong. Leading soon after, he kept on well under Chris Hayes to score by a head, with a further three and a quarter lengths back to the third horse.

Speaking after the race, the winning rider said, “He's a nice horse. He had two nice runs and he was entitled to do that.”

Owned and bred by Robert Ng, Teed Up is a half-brother to two Stakes performers. He hails from the first crop of Gleneagles, whose three-year-olds have captured two Stakes contests so far this month.
