Promising Daughter Of Australia Goes One Better
Ajyad (3f Australia - Lady Design, by Oratorio) took another step forward on Friday to get off the mark in the ten furlong maiden at Bath.
A promising fourth on her sole juvenile start, the Alice Haynes-trained filly finished a close second on her three-year-old return and was reunited with Kieran O’Neill on her third start. Racing in touch with the leaders, she was pushed along passing the three furlong pole and was ridden to challenge approaching the final furlong. Keeping on well close home, she led by a neck on the line, with the first two finishing four and a half lengths clear of the field.
The improving daughter of Australia is owned by Mohamed Saeed Al Shahi and was bred by James Bryson.
