Promising Son Of Gleneagles Delivers On Second Start
No Surrender (3g Gleneagles – Queen Myrine, by Oratorio) built on a promising debut to take Thursday’s ten furlong Novice Stakes at Leicester.
Third on his only previous start, Ed Dunlop’s charge showed the benefit of experience at Leicester, as he made all of the running under Oisin Murphy. Quickening from over two furlongs out, he was ridden approaching the final furlong and kept on well to deny the favourite by three parts of a length, with another two and a quarter lengths back to the third.
No Surrender is owned by Andy White and was bred by Rosetown Bloodstock. The son of Gleneagles provides an important update for his yearling half-sister by Sottsass.
