Sole Book 1 Offering By Gleneagles Fetches 650,000gns

It was a case of quality over quantity for Gleneagles at Tattersalls Book 1, where his sole offering brought a winning bid of 650,000gns from MV Magnier.

Bred and consigned by Jossestown Farm, the daughter of Gleneagles is a half-sister to multiple Group 1 winner Alcohol Free (No Nay Never), who will take to the Tattersalls sales ring later this year. The pair are also siblings of Listed winner Arthur James (Camelot) and continue Jossestown Farm’s unbelievable success with the mare Plying.

Speaking after the sale, Jossestown’s Martin Cooney said, “She’s a lovely filly and she acts like a racehorse so hopefully she is one. She’s gone to a good home and hopefully she turns out half as good as Alcohol Free.”
