Son Of Australia Gains Deserved Maiden Win

Saturday saw the promising Marefuori (2c Australia - Allure, by Oasis Dream) make a successful step up in trip to get off the mark at Wolverhampton.

Placed on all but one of his previous starts, Marco Botti’s charge faced six previous winners in Saturday’s nine and a half furlong contest. Racing at the back of the field for much of the way, he made headway approaching the two furlong marker and took third a furlong later. Keeping on well, he led in the final 110 yards and ran on to win by a length and three quarters under Benoit de la Sayette.

The son of Australia becomes the first winner bred by Hamwood Stud out of Allure.
