Son Of Gleneagles Goes One Better Under Ryan Moore
Glentaneous (3g Gleneagles - Spontaneous, by Sinndar) built on a promising debut second to justify favorutisim in the one mile Novice Stakes at Lingfield on Saturday afternoon.
Beaten just a head in a similar contest earlier this month, Brian Meehan’s charge also benefitted from the partnership of Ryan Moore at the weekend, who rode him to make all. Pushed along to extend his advantage to three lengths after the two furlong pole, he was ridden inside the final furlong to score by a length and three quarters, with a further five lengths back to the third horse.
Owned by R Sinclair and partners, Glentaneous was bred by Frank Dunne out of a half-sister to Youmzain and Creachadoir.
