Son Of Gleneagles Lands Bahrain Group 2 In Track Record Time
Glen Force (4c Gleneagles - Lethal Quality, by Elusive Quality) thrilled new connections with a local Group 2 victory in Friday’s Sheikh Nasser Bin Hamad Al Khalifa Cup in Bahrain.
Last seen scoring by an impressive 16 lengths, the Hesham Al Haddad-trained bay was sent off favourite for Friday’s contest for imported horses over a mile and three furlongs. The son of Gleneagles justified support with an authoritative success in track record time, finishing two lengths and three quarters clear of Litigator, who finished third in a local Grade 1 last time out. The runner-up finished 13 lengths clear of the field.
Glen Force runs in the colours of Esnaad Racing after being bought by Oliver St Lawrence for 160,000gns at the Tattersalls Horses In Training Sale last October. Previously twice a winner for Sir Mark Prescott, the son of Gleneagles was bred by the Irish National Stud.
