Well Bred Son Of Gleneagles Delivers On Debut
Jack Darcy (2g Gleneagles - Pretty Face, by Rainbow Quest) joined a rapidly growing list of winners by Gleneagles when making a winning debut at Salisbury on Friday.
Paul and Oliver Cole’s charged raced towards the back of the field for much of the mile contest and was pushed along to make headway from over two furlongs out. Improving into second a furlong from home, he kept on well under pressure to lead on the line, with the front pair drawing nine lengths clear of the field.
Bred by Bernard Cooke, Jack Darcy is expected to improve over further, given that his dam is a full-sister to Group 2 Yorkshire Cup winner Manifest.
