Well Regarded Australia Colt Finishes Strongly At Kempton
Village Legend (2c Australia - Imalwayshotforyou, by Discreetly Mine) built on a promising debut to win Monday’s mile maiden at Kempton.
James Ferguson’s charge caught the eye earlier this month, when finishing fourth despite being short of room in the closing stages. Well-supported on his second start, he was positioned in midfield by Daniel Muscutt and was pushed along approaching the two furlong marker. Making good headway, he was ridden to lead inside the final furlong and ran on well to score by a length and three quarters.
Village Legend must be held in high regard by connections, as he holds entries in the Irish 2,000 Guineas and Epsom Derby. The son of Australia is owned by KK Ho and was bred by the CGD Syndicate.
