In a big day for Ashford's first crop sires, Jack Christopher registered a winner when Whiteout Warning (2f Jack Christopher x White Mischief, by Into Mischief) won a Maiden Special Weight on debut. Kicking off her career at Prairie Meadows in this 5 ½ furlong dirt race, Whiteout Warning went off as a heavy favorite after registering bullets in two of her last four works. Her greenness showed at the break, but she wasn’t discouraged and was quickly into contention. She issued a challenge to the leader around the turn and the pair engaged until the stretch. Asked for more, she responded and raced away from the field quickly. By the time she hit the line she was a widening 3 ¼ lengths the best. The filly is trained by co-owner Kevin Eikleberry, who owns her with Wallstreet Racing Stables and Clifford Thygesen. A $335,000 weanling when sold by Eaton Sales for breeder H & E Ranch, she is out of the winning Into Mischief mare White Mischief. That mare is a half-sister to the Grade 2 winner Leggs Galore and a full sister to the stakes placed Victorious. Their dam was unraced but is a full sister to multiple Grade 3 winner Conveyance with the family also including stakes winner and Grade 1-placed England’s Rose and stakes winners Southgate and Cavalia with three of the four dams on the page producing at least one stakes performer. Jack Christopher is the sire of eight winners now with the stallion also registering a Saratoga earlier this week.
