Justify’s Miss Justice (5m Justify x Time Being, by Zamindar) won her second consecutive stakes on Sunday when the mare traveled to France for a Gr.3 Prix de Flore victory. Racing just over 1 ¼ miles on heavy turf, the mare was eager to show her best after a slow start and raced keenly on the rail in midpack. Convinced to relax in the middle stages, she was the third in the line of horses on the rail that included the leader before the field hit the stretch and she moved a few paths from the rail. Desperately searching for a hole going into the final furlong, it opened as they flew into the closing stages of the race with Miss Justice able to pull away and win by 1 ¼ length over SAXON WARRIOR’s Hoseki. The winner of four of her starts, this is the first group stakes and third stakes victory overall for Miss Justice. Trained by Brian Meehan for Sam Sangster, she was a 750,000gns Tattersalls December Mare Sale purchase by her owner. Bred by Al Shahania Stud, her dam Time Being is a full sister to Group 1 winner Timepiece and a half-sister to Group 1 winner Passage of Time with their dam also producing Group 2 winner Father Time and stakes winner Continuum. This is also the family of multiple Group 1 winner Twice Over and Group 1 winner Viadera among others. This was one of three stakes winners for Justify this weekend with two of his juvenile colts also registering stakes victories in Kentucky.
