Going off as the second choice behind Tiz The Law’s debuting Panda Listen in the 5 ½ furlong dirt race, she raced just behind Panda Listen and the leader down the backstretch and into the turn. Switched three wide, Motownsnojoke locked onto the leaders in the stretch and took control inside the final furlong. She was in full stride in the closing stages and pulled away to win by two lengths with only Panda Listen within six lengths of her at the line. Bred by Susan King, the Justin Radosevich-trained Motownsnojoke finished second on debut last out for owner Charlie Williams. This is the first foal out of Empress of War, a half-sister to multiple stakes winner Violent Times. That mare is the dam of this year’s Gr.3 Santa Ysabel winner Forced Entry.
