Exciting young sire Home Affairs was the Champion Australian First Season Sire for 2025/2026 and the star performer from his first crop of runners is Golden Slipper winner Guest House, who was crowned Champion Australian 2YO at the star studded Night of Champions awards evening held in the Winx Stand at Royal Randwick on Thursday night. Trained by Mick Price and Michael Kent Jr, Guest House (3c Home Affairs x Flamboyant Lass, by Stratum) started just four times for two wins and two placings earning some $3.3million for his ownership group headed by Roll the Dice Racing. After his brilliant Golden Slipper triumph, Coolmore moved to acquire Guest House and he is slated to return to racing this Saturday in the Group III ATC San Domenico Stakes (1100m) at Rosehill. He will continue to race in the Roll the Dice colours until he ultimately retires to Coolmore to stand alongside his sire. Guest House has had two barrier trials to prepare for his return and Zac Lloyd, who rode him to win the Golden Slipper, will be aboard this Saturday. Home Affairs has already made a strong start to the new season with three winners highlighted by exciting new stakes-winner Natural Fling, who kickstarted her spring with a dazzling four length win in the Group III MRC Quezette Stakes on August 15.
