Snowing (2f No Nay Never - Nictate, by Teofilo) gained a well-deserved win when running out a clear-cut scorer at Leopardstown on Saturday. The daughter of No Nay Never had picked up black type when third in the Listed Ingabelle Stakes at the track last month. She had also finished second in a Gowran Park maiden 11 days before that run. Snowing was ridden by Wayne Lordan and she pressed the leader before leading at two furlongs out and going clear to win by four lengths. In third was Miss Hong Kong (by Churchill). Ballydoyle representative Chris Armstrong said: "It was obviously a drop in class for her. She had run in a couple of bigger races on her last couple of starts. She had a very good run around here in the Ingabelle on Champions Weekend. “We thought she'd be hard to beat coming here. It was very straightforward and she hit the line well. All being well, if she winters well and comes through the spring, we'll bring her back here for a Guineas trial and see what she does." Snowing was bred by Lynch Bages.
