True Love (3f No Nay Never - Alluringly, by Fastnet Rock) added another Group 1 to her record with a fast-finishing score in the Prix de la Foret at Longchamp on Sunday. This year’s 1,000 Guineas winner was giving her sire a second Group 1 win on the card following on from Amusingly’s score over the colts in the Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere. Also a winner of last year’s Group 1 Cheveley Park Stakes, the Ballydoyle-trained True Love had placed in the Irish 1,000 Guineas and Coronation Stakes to Precise (by Starspangledbanner) and the Prix Jean Prat to Thesecretadversary (by St Mark’s Basilica). Ridden by Ryan Moore, True Love was held up early before finishing with a flourish to see off Nighttime and Puerto Rico in an exciting finish. Aidan O'Brien said of the Coolmore homebred: “She's had a long season and when they're like that they need a lot of care and attention. I'm delighted for everyone and Ryan gave her a great ride. “She's a Queen Mary winner, she's a Cheveley Park winner and she's a Guineas winner, what can you say? Coming back to seven furlongs is probably her perfect trip, but she gets a mile on an easy track and still won an English Guineas. “She's an incredible filly really and she could go to the Breeders' Cup Mile. Ryan said she likes the feel of an aggressive race now because she's gone a little bit laid-back and going round a bend at Keeneland should suit her.”
