First-crop yearlings by champion two-year-old Little Big Bear continued to be in demand at Book 1 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sales, making prices of up to 750,000gns. Churchtown House Stud’s colt, a half-brother to Starspangledbanner’s Group 3 Marble Hill Stakes winner and Group 1 Middle Park Stakes second Castle Star, led the way when selling to Godolphin for 750,000gns. Michael Gaffney of Churchtown House Stud said: "He’s a gorgeous horse, and I'm so thankful to everybody who came in and bid for him and made this a magic moment." Gaffney bred and sold subsequent Group 1 Prix Morny winner Senorita Bonita (by Starspangledbanner) with Egmont Stud for a sale-topping price of 900,000gns at the Tattersalls Craven Breeze Up Sale in April. He added: “It has been an unbelievably brilliant year, it's just so fantastic. It's just magic, and it continues to be magic!” Sherbourne Lodge’s filly out of prolific Argentinian performer City Glam was another leading result for Little Big Bear, selling to Stonestreet Stables for 260,000gns. The bay is a half-sister to the Group-placed Rosario.
