Ruby Moon (2f No Nay Never - Ruby Shield, by War Front) became the 14th two-year-old winner of the season for No Nay Never with a comfortable debut victory at Carlisle on Wednesday. A homebred for Mrs Richard Henry and Premier Bloodstock, the Richard and Peter Fahey-trained filly is out of a half-sister to No Nay Never’s Group 3 Oh So Sharp Stakes scorer Midnight Mile. The wider family includes Irish 1,000 Guineas heroine Yesterday and Moyglare Stud Stakes winner Quarter Moon. Ridden by Oisin Orr, Ruby Moon raced in second and was ridden at the one-furlong marker to take up the lead. She came home well to win by a length and a quarter, with a further 11 lengths back to the third horse.
