Queen Beard (2f Blackbeard - Dawning, by Iffraaj) became the latest winner for exciting first-season sire Blackbeard with a comfortable score at San Siro on Sunday. Trained by Endo Botti, Queen Beard was getting off the mark at the third attempt, having finished fourth on her most recent outing at Capannelle last month. Ridden by Dario Di Tocco, the daughter of Blackbeard sat behind the leaders early on before making up ground and leading with 300 metres left to run. The two-year-old faced challenges late on but stuck to her task to win snugly. Queen Beard was bred by B O'Neill.
