Roosike (2f Sioux Nation - Kaks Roosid, by Youmzain) got off the mark at the third attempt with a game score at Southwell on Monday. The Richard Hughes-trained filly had placed on her two previous outings, including when second at Wolverhampton this month. Ridden by Hector Crouch, Roosike made all and kept on to strike by a neck, having been challenged from a furlong out. In third was Bullrider (by Blackbeard). Roosike was bred by D & E Phelan and she another new juvenile winner for Sioux Nation, whose two-year-olds of 2026 also include Group 2 Airlie Stud Stakes winner Sun Goddess.
