Southern Boulevard (2f No Nay Never - Sans Equivoque, by Stormy River) gained a deserved first win with a clear-cut victory at Dundalk on Friday. The Ger Lyons-trained filly had placed three times previously, including when second at Cork in August. She had also finished fourth in a Listed contest at Dundalk earlier this month. Ridden again by Gary Carroll, Southern Boulevard made all and was ridden over a furlong out, going clear to win by three and a quarter lengths. In second was Scolyer (by Golden Pal), while Pure Power (by No Nay Never) finished third. Carroll said: “She loves this surface and hit the line very strong. Hopefully next year, when she gets a bit stronger and she mentally matures a bit, she could develop into a nice type of filly.” Southern Boulevard was bred by Capital Bloodstock.
