Barsac (2c No Nay Never - Liquid Amber, by Kitten’s Joy) landed his first win with a clear-cut success at Lyon La Soie on Friday. The Carlos and Yann Lerner-trained colt was getting off the mark at the third attempt, settling behind the leader early on before making up ground turning into the home straight. Barsac took up the lead and kept on well to win by a ready two lengths in the hands of Ronan Thomas. A half-brother to Group 1 Qatar Derby scorer Supercooled, Barsac was bred by Magnolia Mares. No Nay Never's excellent 2026 has been headed by 1,000 Guineas heroine True Love, Group 1 Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere winner Amusingly and Group 1 King Charles III Stakes scorer Mission Central.
