Ciao Bello (2c Saxon Warrior - Innervisions, by Dubawi) got off the mark with victory at Vichy on Thursday. The Mathieu Pitart-trained juvenile had placed on all three of his previous outings, including when beaten just a neck at Vichy in July. Ridden by Antonio Orani, the son of Saxon Warrior settled behind the leader and moved up to challenge for the lead with just over two furlongs left to run. The pair took up the lead and stayed on gamely to strike by half a length. Out of a half-sister to Listed winner Up Helly Aa, Ciao Bello was bred by Ecurie Altima.
