Sole Ambition (2c No Nay Never - Scarlet Bear, by Kodi Bear) got off the mark at the third attempt when winning at Newmarket on Friday. The Ed Walker-trained colt had finished third on his first two starts, including at York last month behind Benjamin Hornigold (by Blackbeard). Ridden by Kieran Shoemark, Sole Ambition was in touch with the leaders early on and made headway on the far side to lead two furlongs out, keeping on well to win by half a length. Sole Ambition was bred by Plantation Stud.
