The exciting Lex Victoria (2f Sioux Nation - Porthilly, by Pivotal) maintained her unbeaten record with a smooth victory at Kempton on Wednesday. The €1.1 million Arqana May Breeze-Up sale-topper had run out a game winner at Newmarket on her debut last month and she stepped forward from that experience with a four-length score under Oisin Murphy. Lex Victoria was placed prominently and raced in second from four furlongs out before leading at the one-furlong marker. The Simon and Ed Crisford-trained two-year-old ran on well to win in fine style, while in third was another daughter of Sioux Nation in Sioux Empress. Chris Wall, racing manager to Victorious Racing, said: "She's got a really good temperament, but like all breezers, she was a bit fizzy when she first went into training. Simon, Ed and their team have done a very good job of getting her to relax. "I liked the way she switched off first time out as she had to make the running and sometimes when they come out the second time, they can be lit up. But she was really well relaxed and quickened up well. She's a filly with a future. "I think it was a decent race she won at Newmarket, and she's taken a big step forward from that. We might run her in a stakes race in the autumn and see where we are, but she's one for next year and a filly we're really looking forward to." Lex Victoria was bred by Oliver Pawle.
