Drazinda (2f Sioux Nation - Darbanza, by Siyouni) continued the fine run of form of Sioux Nation with a first Group win in the Group 3 Prix d'Arenberg at Longchamp on Thursday. A homebred for Princess Zahra Aga Khan, Drazinda had won on her debut at Chantilly in May and she gained a breakthrough stakes win in the Listed Prix de la Vallee d'Auge at Deauville last month. Having finished fifth to Senorita Bonita (by Starspangledbanner) in the Group 1 Prix Morny last time out, Drazinda was breaking through at Pattern level for trainer Francis Graffard. Ridden by Mickael Barzalona, the daughter of Sioux Nation was positioned prominently and came to take up a narrow lead inside the final furlong. She kept on to strike by a length and a quarter from another Sioux Nation filly in Vollering.
