Daddy Star (2f No Nay Never - Shenanigans, by Arcano) built on a promising debut when justifying favouritism at Kempton on Wednesday. The Richard Hughes-trained filly finished a pleasing second at Yarmouth on her debut last month and stepped forward again for a maiden success. Ridden by Billy Loughnane, the daughter of No Nay Never was in touch early on and made headway to lead from a furlong out. Daddy Star kept on inside the final furlong to win by half a length. Daddy Star was bred by Paget Bloodstock.
