Checkered Flag (2f Starspangledbanner - Family Star, by Sea The Stars) made it two wins in a row with a comfortable score at Deauville on Tuesday. The filly had struck on her fourth outing at Deauville in August for Francis Graffard and she was adding to that success on her first start for Mathieu Brasme. Ridden by Mickael Barzalona, Checkered Flag settled in midfield early on before challenging for the lead two furlongs out. She kept on to hit the front and stayed on well to score by a length and a half from Timur (by Blackbeard). Checkered Flag was bred by G Vitse and Mme C Vitse.
