Trained by Robert Cowell, the son of Blackbeard built on a promising debut second with a win at Musselburgh this month. He stepped forward once again to win his third start by five and a half lengths. The colt was ridden by Eddy Greatrex and the pair made all, keeping on well from over two furlongs out to win convincingly. Minster Man was bred by Philip and Orla Hore.
