Spirit Tango (2f Sioux Nation - Jolie Chanson, by Mount Nelson) made it two wins on the bounce with a gritty win at Goodwood on Tuesday. The Ralph Beckett-trained filly had run out a two-and-three-quarter-length winner on her second start at Kempton in July and was backing up that effort with another success on her third outing. Ridden by Oisin Murphy, Spirit Tango settled behind the leaders before switching to the near side from three furlongs out. The Sioux Nation filly was ridden to lead from a furlong out and kept on to score by a length and three-quarters. A half-sister to Listed winner Majestic Dawn and the Group 2-placed Rousing Encore, Spirit Tango was bred by Hunting Hill Stud.
