Trained by Andrew Balding, Floral was building on two previous runs, including when fourth at Haydock last time out, and she stepped up again to claim a race won last year by the smart Lilt. Ridden by Oisin Murphy, the Sioux Nation filly was positioned prominently and took up the lead from a furlong out, keeping on in testing conditions to score by three-quarters of a length.
