Rogue Passion (2f Sioux Nation - Vazire, by Frankel) continued her progress with a first Group-race victory in the Group 2 Prix d'Aumale at Longchamp on Sunday. The Ed Bethell-trained filly stepped up from two promising runs with a clear-cut first win at Carlisle last month, pulling two and a half lengths clear of her nearest rivals in the process. Ridden by Rossa Ryan on this occasion, the daughter of Sioux Nation was slightly slow into stride and settled in rear before being asked for her efforts two furlongs out. Rogue Passion responded well to make headway over a furlong out and led towards the finish, defeating Amusingly (by No Nay Never) by a neck at the line. Ryan said: “It was quite messy early on, but she quickened up well and really did knuckle down. She used to race keenly in her maidens, but up in grade going a gallop she's happier. Ed and the team have done a great job with her and hopefully there is more to come.” Rogue Passion was bred by the Vazire Partnership.
