Padraig Dawn (3c Saxon Warrior - Termagant, by Powerscourt) made a winning start to his career when comfortably scoring at Southwell on Saturday. Trained by Charlie Pike, the colt settled towards the rear of the field before being asked for his effort two furlongs out. The son of Saxon Warrior ran on well to claim the win by a length and a quarter under Ed Greatrex. Out of Group 1 Moyglare Stud Stakes winner Termagant, Padraig Dawn was bred by Kenilworth House Stud. He continues a fine run of form for his sire, following on from Sutton Hoo's score at Dundalk yesterday and Sheza Alibi's Group 2 success in Australia last weekend.
