West Of Eden (2c No Nay Never - Snow Shower, by Lope De Vega) got off the mark with a comfortable win at Down Royal on Friday. The Ballydoyle-trained colt was winning at the third attempt, making all under Wayne Lordan and keeping on well to win by a length and a half from Seaxburh (by Saxon Warrior), with Belicoso (by Churchill) in third. Stable representative Chris Armstrong said: “He's a horse who’s a work in progress and hopefully he’ll keep developing. We'll see what the handicapper does. He might be one for the nursery in Galway. "He ran in two nice enough maidens, and it just didn't happen for him. This race suited his profile, and Wayne gave him a lovely ride from the front - he jumped well and set lovely fractions. In fairness, when he asked him to move forward, he hit the line well. "He's putting it all together and hopefully he keeps taking confidence from each run." West Of Eden was bred by Camas Park, Lynch Bages and Summerhill.
