Progeny by the in-form Sioux Nation continued to prove highly popular at the Arqana October Yearling Sale this week, making prices of up to €190,000. Haras du Hoguenet’s filly out of the Listed-winning and Group-placed Les Vertus led the way when selling to Rabbah Bloodstock. A half-sister to the winning Ammoony, the grey’s further family includes stakes scorers Antiqua Mare and Jakaby Jade. Anthony Baudouin of Haras du Hoguenet said: “My father arranged for Loshad, the filly’s second dam, to be bought by some very loyal clients of the stud, Alain Gaudu and Jean-Pierre Stable. She produced Les Vertus, as well as Rive Neuve, a black-type performer and the dam of Revolutionnaire, who gave us a lot of pleasure when trained by Francis. “I’m delighted Rabbah have bought the yearling. They were clients of the stud for a long time, and I bred Hello Youmzain for them. I’m also delighted for my partners, Alain, Jean-Pierre, Olivier Devaux and Gilles Le Baron.” Arcadia Elevage’s filly out of the Listed-placed Oheka made €180,000 to Peter and Ross Doyle. The bay is a granddaughter of Listed scorer Qatar Power.
