Its Time For A Run (5g Crystal Ocean - Tacenda, by Flemensfirth) got off the mark with victory in the concluding bumper at Downpatrick on Tuesday. Making his third start - and his first for trainer Emmet Mullins - the Crystal Ocean gelding was held up in rear under John Gleeson before making headway after five furlongs. He pressed the leader with three furlongs left to run and soon took over the lead, keeping on to win by two lengths. In third was Loves A Laugh (by Vadamos). Gleeson said: "He'd two runs over hurdles for Pat Doyle, and I'd say he was a bit weak. He strengthened up there now and it was a nice performance. "I'd say he's still learning. He's a horse who will have no bother getting further again. He came off it [bridle] early, but I liked his attitude. "It's a help [handled the ground] - it’s good ground, but they've done a good job here. It’s safe and has a good covering of grass on it which helps." Its Time For A Run was bred by Paddy Kennedy.
