Ealu Tapa (5g Getaway - Lilly's Express, by King’s Theatre) gained his first win at the second attempt with a clear-cut victory in the concluding bumper at Ballinrobe on Tuesday. The Peter Fahey-trained gelding finished midfield on debut at Punchestown last month and improved for that outing with a four-and-three-quarter-length win in the hands of Adam Ryan. Ealu Tapa was held up in rear and made steady progress from four furlongs out. The son of Getaway took up the lead with a furlong left to run and went clear inside the final 110 yards. Fahey said: "We fancied him at Punchestown and things didn't go his way. A horse was dropping back and fell right into his path, and that knocked him out of the race. "Josh Halford came in and said he was unlucky and that there was plenty of ability there. "He's a fine big horse, and is out of a sister to Peregrine Run. If he does even a third of what Peregrine Run did, we'll be happy, and we have his half-sister by Maxios at home." Ealu Tapa was bred by Vinny Byrne.
