Champion Brave Anna Produces Colt By Justify

It’s been a big week for Triple Crown winner Justify with European Champion Brave Anna the latest Champion to produce a foal by Justify this week, producing a colt by the stallion at Coolmore America on Tuesday night.

The colt is a second generation homebred for Mrs. E Stockwell who also bred Brave Anna. Winning her first group stakes in the Group III Albany Stakes at Royal Ascot in June of her 2-year-old year, Brave Anna concluded her season with a victory in the Group I Cheveley Park Stakes to seal the championship.

Brave Anna is one of two Group I winners for her Group III winning dam Liscanna, who also produced her full brothers - Grade I Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf Winner Hit It a Bomb and Listed-placed Threeandfourpence - with six winners overall from seven to race.

Brave Anna will be among a stellar second book of mares for Horse of the Year Justify, who is the only Triple Crown winner to retire unbeaten.
