It’s set to be another chance for buyers to purchase mares in foal to Jack Christopher at the Keeneland January Horses of All Ages Sale with the stallion seeing seven in-foal mares go through the ring.

The first mare in foal to Jack Christopher is Hip 65 with the Hill ‘n’ Dale consignment.

A two-time winner and the dam of two winners from two to race, Successful Appeal daughter Pathos is a half-sister to Grade II winner and Grade I-placed Faypien and out of the stakes winning Might Eros. Seeing stakes winners under all three of her dams on the page, Pathos is the dam of three-time winner Xy Time and the winning Artico.

Having a Sharp Azteca yearling and 3-year-old to come, Pathos is bred to Jack Christopher on a March 9 cover.

The dam of one winner from two to race, Perfecta sells as Hip 70 through the Gainesway consignment.

A stakes-placed runner herself, Perfecta’s first foal was a winner with the mare also having a Not This Time 2-year-old to come. Perfecta is a half-sister to the stakes-placed I’m Venezuelan and the dam of stakes winner and Grade III-placed Funtastic Again, stakes winner Mucho Del Oro, and Grade II-placed Lady Glamour. Her dam is one of three stakes performers for Perfecta’s granddam as well.

A winning Smart Strike mare, Striking Impact sells through Hunter Valley Farm as Hip 147.

The dam of a winner and a placer from three to race, Striking Impact herself earned $71,678 on the track as one of nine winners from 11 to race out of the stakes-placed Beauty’s Due. That mare also produced Grade III winner Devil By Design, stakes winner Kolo, and the multiple stakes-placed Taima The Hawk. Her daughters have continued the producing success with Devil By Design producing Grade I winner Competitionofideas and another daughter producing the stakes-placed Angels Boy.

Striking Impact’s Not This Time yearling colt sold for $230,000 at last November’s Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale with the mare also having a juvenile Union Rags filly as well.

Selling just months after her Justify yearling sold for $200,000 at the Keeneland November Breeding Stock sale is Tiamaria, offered by Bedouin Bloodstock as Hip 179.

Producing a four-time winner in her first foal and a two-time winner from her second with two to race, Tiamaria followed her dam’s lead with that stakes winning mare producing four winners from five runners. Golden Damsel is also the dam of the multiple stakes placed Instant Style.

Carrying her second foal by Jack Christopher on a March 18 cover is the Constitution mare Classy Times, a half-sister to the Grade III-placed Street Chimes.

The mare is a half-sister to four winners from five runners overall out of the multiple stakes winner and multiple Grade II placed Pleasant Chimes. Pleasant Chimes is a half-sister to multiple stakes winner and multiple Grade II placed Freefourinternet and to the dams of three other stakes performers. The stakes-placed Wicked Strong mare Microcap is carrying a foal by Jack Christopher for her first foal as one of two winners from three to race out of A Taste of Red.

Offered by Grovendale Sales as Hip 431, the mare is a granddaughter of Grade II-placed Rare Opportunity. Rare Opportunity was just as successful in the breeding shed as she was a race mare with the mare producing three stakes winners and two other stakes producers. Those three stakes winners include Grade II winners Tower Of Texas and Steet Sounds with her daughters the dam or grandams of runners such as stakes winners First Peace and Bold Curlin.

Most of the opportunities buyers have will come on the first day of selling with only Microcap selling after that session.
