1.6 Million for Fastnet Rock Oaks Winner Qualify
Fastnet Rock’s history making Epsom Oaks winning daughter Qualify set the sale ring alight at the Tattersalls December Mares Sale.
The Aidan O’Brien trained Qualify made history for her champion sire earlier this year when becoming his first Northern Hemisphere bred Group I winner and proved very attractive in the sale ring selling for 1.6 million guineas.
She was bought by John Ferguson Bloodstock.
"It is always lovely to have an Oaks winner," Ferguson said afterwards. "She is a lovely, scopey mare who was a very good racehorse and her Oaks-winning day was extraordinary.
"I have one or two ideas as to covering plans, but the boss will decide."
Qualify is the best of three winners from Galileo mare Perihelion, who comes from the family of numerous Group I winners including Champion 3YO Workforce.
