Akemi claims French Listed contest for Footsteps

Three-year-old Akemi (3f Footstepsinthesand-Hitra, by Langfuhr) landed another black-type success for Footstepsinthesand on Wednesday when scoring well at Chantilly.

The Prime Equestrian-owned filly was saddled by Xavier Thomas-Demeaulte to win the Listed Prix de la Cochere by a length under Christophe Soumillon.

The 40,000 euros yearling, who was bred by Joe Hernon, had also been placed in Listed company earlier in the summer.
