Bear On The Loose (3g Footstepsinthesand - Ihtiraam, by Teofilo) is set to join the esteemed stable of Gai Waterhouse and Adrien Bott after selling for 280,000gns at the Tattersalls Autumn Horses In Training Sale.

Bott and Waterhouse were represented by bloodstock manager Claudia Miller at Tattersalls, where she bid alongside agent Johnny McKeever from the back stairs. After providing the final bid, Miller revealed, “He’s a lovely horse who we purchased in partnership with Myracehorse. He’s lightly raced and there’s plenty of improvement to come. He came highly rated on form from Rob Waterhouse.”

The 93-rated three-year-old was consigned by Imperium Sales and returned a handsome profit on his yearling price of €100,000. Bred by John Connolly and Carol Henley, the son of Footstepsinthesand had won three of his five career starts for Kevin Philippart de Foy.
