So Logical (3f Footstepsinthesand – Dainty’s Daughter, by Cape Cross) proved a class above her rivals in Friday’s seven furlong fillies’ maiden at Newcastle.

Placed on all three of her previous starts, John and Thady Gosden’s representative was sent off favourite under Benoit de la Sayette and raced in touch with the leader for much of the way. She asserted before the final furlong and quickened clear to win by seven and a half lengths.
