Well-Related Footstepsinthesand Colt Delivers On Debut

Sindoriyno (3c Footstepsinthesand – Sindiyma, by Kalanisi) produced a game debut performance to win the mile maiden at Wolverhampton on Tuesday.

The own-brother to multiple Stakes winner Marie’s Diamond (Footstepsinthesand) was well-supported ahead of his first racecourse appearance and was settled in midfield by David Probert. Ridden approaching the two furlong marker, he quickened between horses to press the leader a furlong later and kept on well to lead on the line. The winning margin was a head, with the favourite Pagliacci (Gleneagles) finishing two lengths and three quarters clear of the third horse.

Sindoriyno is owned by breeders Ballylinch Stud, who bought the colt in utero for €315,000. His dam’s best progeny is the aforementioned Group 1 performer Marie’s Diamond (Footstepsinthesand).
