Footsteps filly has connections Dreaming
Footstepsinthesand has a smart juvenile in Britain in the shape of Summer Daydream (2f Footstepsinthesand-Summer Dream, by Oasis Dream), a Listed winner at Redcar on Saturday.
The Keith Dalgleish-trained filly captured the ultra-competitive £175,000 Listed Racing UK Two Year Old Trophy from 20 rivals.
Summer Daydream, bred by Flaxman Stables and Scuderia Vittadini, won by four and a half lengths on debut (pictured) and was an unlucky fifth in G3 company of her only other start.
“Summer Daydream is a good filly and she's got a really good attitude, to win as she did first time then to do what she did in a Group 3 from a bad draw,” said winning rider Connor Beasley. “She's done it the hard way again today, she hit the wind two out. She really knuckled down towards the finish, she dug really deep and I think she's got a good future.”
