Fast Steps (Footstepsinthesand) Wins The Novice Stakes At Epsom

Footstepsinthesand Colt Gets Off The Mark At Epsom

The Richard Hannon-trained Fast Steps (3c Footstepsinthesand - Inis Boffin, by Danehill Dancer) built on a promising debut to win Tuesday’s Spring Meeting Novice Stakes at Epsom.

Second on his sole two-year-old start, the Saeed Suhail-owned colt stepped up to an extended mile on return and was ridden to chase the leaders by Ryan Moore. Switched right approaching the two furlong marker, he was ridden to produce a strong challenge inside the final furlong and kept on well to win by three parts of a length, beating previous winner Silent Film into second.

A €280,000 yearling purchase by Blandford Bloodstock, Fast Steps is a full-brother to the highly-rated Qatari Hunter (Footstepsinthesand). The pair are half-brothers to Listed winner Paint Island (Zoffany).
