Footstepsinthesand Colt Plays Starring Role At Goffs
A son of Footstepsinthesand provided breeders Tipper House Stud with a handsome return when selling for €300,000 on the final day of the Goffs Foal Sale.
John and Valerie Osborne bought the dam Queen Of Carthage for €24,000 in 2018 and sent her to Footstepsinthesand at a cost of €10,000. The resulting bay colt foal received an outstanding update earlier this year when his half-brother Lucky Vega captured the Group 1 Phoenix Stakes, but that important success was not the sole attraction for the eventual buyer, Filip Zwicky.
“He's a beautiful foal and we loved him even without the update,” explained the agent for Goffs Scandinavia. “He's for very good clients of mine and Goffs and they will bring him back here for the Orby Sale next year. It’s their first time to pinhook a foal, they have bought broodmares and horses to race at Goffs before.”
